If you wish any day can be happy!

Today, I learnt that your day may not have a good start but if you want, you can always give it a happy ending.
It was the worst day till destiny showed me some ray of hope. I was not well; had fever. My BFF was busy with his classes and I chose not to disturb him this time. Being single is terrible at times. You feel so secluded. Sometimes you just feel the need for a certain someone to be there at a distant and show you that he cares and will be there for you no matter what. Though he might be away from you, but in your heart he is always near. I hope you are getting my point although I guess I am talking senseless right now.
In my previous blog post, I said that having a boy best friend in better than a boyfriend. But having a boyfriend has it's own positives. Everyone needs a person they can completely rely on and know that come what may they will love you. Although my best friend does the same. Still I feel hollow at times like this when he is busy. A boyfriend is someone who can make you feel wanted even when he is busy. May be because the way you connect with him is different. Post-breakup often girls like me turn all scared at the thought of getting committed again. But now my BFF thinks that it's time for me to let go my fears and be myself again. He actually helped me in finding 'the real me' all over again which I had lost somewhere in a place unknown. He taught me to live again literally.
So today when he was busy and I was feeling all-time low, I knew that I was again back there from where I had started. I went into nostalgia thinking hard that how my life sucked.

Listening to this song of Taylor Swift actually made me miss 'him' more, though I had promised Adi (my Best Friend Forever) that I wouldn't cry over him anymore. But I was feeling so weak.

I almost forgot that my life wasn't that bad. I still had people who wanted to see me smile like Rohit, Sahil, Rahul, Jatin, etc. Sensing me upset, Rahul called and it made me feel like I wasn't alone after all. Thinking of Jatin, I suddenly forgot I was upset a little while ago. I respect him a lot; and often call him 'my superstar' and so he was. Talking to him was the next best thing to talking to Adi. And then the conversation became just too special. It was like a new day, a new beginning. I have no clue what the future will be like but one thing I am sure I am loving it; loving the feel of it. And who knows I might bump into my Mr.Right soon enough? Or may be I have already found him, just an acknowledgement is needed?
For now one thing is certain in my uncertain world. All my bad days can have happy endings, I just need to have right people in my life and flush out the wrong people. Then the life will be a happy journey, full of hunky-dory surprises.
So word of the day - LET GO! Believe me it's a lot more easier to let go rather than holding on to something that is never going to come to you again. Although it might seem the toughest thing in the world to do. Have you ever felt clinging to something that is about to break and fall? Well holding on to someone who doesn't care about you is similar. So I have decided to live again instead of falling in an unknown horizon. What are you waiting for? Life never stops, so why should we?

In a nut shell, a bad day is like walking with an umbrella in the rain, while a good day is like throwing that umbrella far off and letting it rain all over you! So finally I am throwing that umbrella shielding my happiness off, and getting drenched. What about you? ;)

My idea of perfect bliss!

So I was sitting by the window and it was wide open, my bright eyes were glancing at the rain-drops, as they fall from the cloudy sky to meet the thirsty earth. My ears seemed to enjoy the pitter-patter. It was a kind of relief to the soul.
It feels utmost bliss to see the wind playing games with the soft twigs of the young green plants. Cold winds blowing through the leaves of the trees. The earth seems happy and wishing that the monsoons stay for a little more time.
The idea of perfect bliss may still vary from person to person. For me Monsoon season is the most delightful one. I just feel all delighted to sit by a window side with a novel in my hand or with my lappy. So, the equation for bliss is very simple for me :

Rain + A novel / Lappy + A cup of coffee = Bliss!

But post-breakup nothing can make you cheerful for a while; not even the equation written above. What then? Ever wondered how easily people say, 'C'mon he/she wasn't worth you. Forget it and move on.' But reality is that if the attachment with someone is way too much then it takes time to imagine your life without them. People meet and depart, but life? Well, 'It goes on!'
The rain which made you glad earlier, can actually make you cry. You may gaze at the outdoors and hear the rain falling but the effect would be completely opposite. It no longer apes happiness but leaves you sad and nostalgic.
Love is like an earthquake-unpredictable, a little scary, but when the hard part is over you realize how lucky you truly are. Something like this happened with me too. I too fell and wasn't caught. But still today sitting at the window side with the smell of wet mud making me feel sensuous, I am happy. I know some of you may be thinking I must not be in deep or true love. That's not right, though. I loved him with all I had. Some relations are just not meant to be. I had to let him go. I was blissful this time, relieved of all the pain. The heart was forgiving 'him' gradually for hurting me and forgetting 'his' mistakes. He had wounded me badly but time heals all.
I just had to change the equation a bit to regain the control on my life. How could I allow him to hurt me forever even when he was gone, never to come back again? The equation now read as follows :

 Phone / Internet + BFF = Bliss!

Now I don't have to wait for Rain to come and make me delighted anymore. I have someone; someone very special, My BFF to make me smile when all I want is to cry. With him around, I don't feel the need for anything else in the world. It's like he is 'Happiness Personified' for me. Life seems hunky-dory when he is with me. I don't have any awkward moments with him. It's comforatble to share everything with him; from the deepest desires to the deepest, darkest secrets. Only the thought of him is enough to bring a smile on my face. There's an advantage of having a boy best friend rather than a boyfriend, afterall. A boy best friend serves the same purpose. The only difference parhaps is he wouldn't ever break your heart and will be willing to go to any extent to ensure your happiness. He encourages you to be better and he never gives fake compliment. He can rudely criticise you and take my word for it that it's helpful in the long run.
Today it seems both the equations have united to take me beyond the cloud 9. So it's raining outside, I am gazing at the sky, the wind from the open window is playing with my hair now, I am typing on my lappy with a cup of coffee placed nearby, my phone's beeping, it's a message from my BFF. Wait, I need to reply.

And me,
Well, I'm alive. :)

Because I was blank!!

Had a troubled sleep. Woke up as early as 7:00 A.M. today with a severe headache. If anything I am feeling weird right now. Life can be so meaningless at times. Crap!
I wonder how can in such a busy and short life, people find time to be sad and do all the drama! It's just too lame. The problem with me is I cannot see a single soul around me unhappy. I almost kill myself (metaphorically) to ensure their happiness. Duh! I am surrounded by so many people who are habituated to cribbing over anything and everything. Yeah right, I live with a lot of negativity around me - one of the reasons for my rare mood swings!
I logged in to FACEBOOK thinking I would have some fun catching up with friends over chat. A friend of mine (yeah you guessed right, from the 'cribbing team') started crying literally over the chat about how his girlfriend broke up with him and went out of station without meeting him for the last time. I am awestruck by the fact that he knew this girl was cheating on him for the past two years and he still loved him. Huh! Love is a lame concept these days. True love always hurts if it exists in the first place. Weird!!! (Word of the day - WEIRD! Ta-Da!)
I was like What? Are you that insane? Or that blind? It was a SUCKER ALERT for sure. My head was already banging. But somehow I can never leave people alone especially when they are so low. Gawd! I never understand how can people cry over a person? If your girl is gone, then let that bitch go and get over it dude! You deserve to live your life and not kill yourself in her absence!
So though I wasn't very well, I chose to stay online and hear him if nothing else. Finally he calmed down and I went offline. As if it wasn't enough to ruin my mood, another friend called. Haha! My life is full of them. Or is it that am too kind? Whatever!
Now this friend was all drunk and I was so tired. He kept speaking and I chose to remain quiet. He was telling me his break-up story for the 100th time! Darn it! Finally around 3:00 A.M., I told him to sleep and let me sleep. I wonder if I am extra sweet to my friends! But then I find it a compulsion to make everyone feel better, it gives me a unique satisfaction. I really wish someone to do the same to me someday when I am going through such a weird phase of life! Told you, WEIRD is the right word.
I woke up this morning, totally blank. Had a movie plan but cancelled it. It's one of my bad days!! Feeling like post-hangover!! Sigh! So since morning am roaming all over the home and then finally decided to switch on to my lappy and write something for the NGO website am working on. Hah! Even that wasn't a success! Spammed by messages from a friend yet again! I choose not to reply this time and writing this blog instead. Though it's a senseless piece. My life sucks or may be my some of the friends. Though not all of them. I am missing some of my real good friends now. Why is everyone so busy today? Need to calm down myself now. Any tips? Anyone?

The hottest love has the coldest end! : Robert pattinson, Kristen Stewart, & Rupert Sanders.

Okay, so what started as a sensational love story has now ended as a tragedy! Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were together for almost four years and were one of the hottest couple in the Hollywood before Kristen chose to cheat on him and that too with a married man and her SWATH director Rupert Sanders.
Robert, 26, is sure to have been further devastated after hearing that Kristen, 22 and 41-year-old married father of two, Rupert, couldn't keep their hands off each other in Los Angeles last week. It's a shameful incident and Rob is now left devastated, heartbroken, angry, embarrassed, and secluded.
The couple first met at the sets of Twilight in 2008 and have been together since then. Kristen however was dating Michael Angarano at the time. She broke up with Angarano in 2009 when rumours of Kristen dating Robert swirled all around.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were always side by side during fan events and press calls while promoting New Moon, though they remained quiet on their dating status initially. By the end of 2009, they confirmed their relationship. They looked good together; complementing each other. Fans were happy for them.
Robert Pattinson talked about Kristen Stewart in the April issue of Vanity Fair, saying: "Kristen is very focused on being an actress. I mean, that's what she is—she's an actress. She's cool. Even before I knew her I thought she was a really good actress. Like, I saw Into the Wild, and I thought she was really good in that. I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is."
Also, Robert has been openly saying that no one can understand him the way Kristen understands him. He always seemed happy and content to have her by his side. He has quoted in the magazines several times that he finds cheating in a relationship unthinkable and that he can never think of cheating. Also, he respects women.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart held hands during a date night in LA just two days after she was photographed kissing Rupert Sanders. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart shared the stage at the Teen Choice Awards in LA. It was after the show that Kristen reportedly told Rob about her affair with Rupert Sanders.

Now she is apologising to Robert thinking everything will be sorted out between them. She issued her statement recently, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Kristen has ruined her life and career by hurting Rob. By cheating on him and not understanding Rob's true love for her, she has only turned the situation worse. All her fans are now angry with her. She is doomed as of now.
A die hard fan of Robert Pattinson, Aashna Bisht says, 'Rob is 'crushed' so say his friends, catching her cheating on him was the LAST thing he expected from her. He is not even coming out in public. Kristen did not say that she expects him to take her back but she is kinda positive. Cheating with a MARRIED MAN WITH TWO KIDS YUCK. Gross moral turpitude. She had the world at her feet- most popular, media's favourite, highest paid actress, most loving, grounded and successful guy by her side and a string of blockbuster until she threw it away for a fling with a married man.'
Fans like Sneha Jha are shocked as they took Kristen to be a nice girl. Vaishnavi Srimag says, 'It's laughable she cheated on Rob. One thing's for sure: its gonna be an interesting Twilight  Breaking Dawn premiere. So much tension!!! =)) LOL. '
Aashna further adds, 'She was seduced by Rupert, however she willingly carried on the 'show' and after doing 'it' in the CAR she dropped him to his house.'
Reports say that it was fleeting moment. Fans say that she is barely 22 and mistakes happen but tell me this - throughout the fling she was aware people would see her do that so she avoided being photographed and not for once thought about Robert? The guy who loves her so much?
Kristen Stewart thought about getting caught by Paparazzi but not about Robert Pattinson ??? Shameless!!

The Guwahati incident : Who is to be blamed?

According to a guy, it is the mistake of the girl because her dressing was improper. In case you don't get it, I am talking about the Guwahati Molestation case! I don't understand where such out of the world thoughts come from. She might go to a bar, get drunk, hungover or dress up however she wants to. It is her life! Problem is in the men's brain not in the dressing! If you don't have control over your hormones, shut your bloody eyes and mouth!
Please stop teaching girls how to dress up and start teaching guys not to rape them!! Weird people!!
These sexually frustrated guys see the girls as an object of lust. These boys think girls are their property. Male chauvinist pigs! They say India is a free country. Then also girls can't live freely here. In fact, it is here in India that we hear about so many cases of rape and women don't get respect, so how can India be a free country? That's just a lame opinion.
A teen-aged girl was molested, groped at and beaten up, all in full public view, by a mob in Guwahati, and what is the government doing? The 17-year-old girl was subjected to molestation and assault for nearly half an hour before being rescued by some passers-by. Just because the protesters started voicing their opinions, the police force is working overtime to hunt down those involved in the crime. So far, only four of them have been arrested while eight others are still out there somewhere.
One of my friends, Peeyush Kaushik who lives in Guwahati claims that it is not a safe city for anyone at night. He says that even men are not safe there at night. I wonder when will our government look into the safety affairs of Guwahati state. Reality is we have been corrupted at the very ground level. When the roots are corrupted, how can one expect the tree to be safe?
In words of another friend, Sanya Nayar, 'If we sit to rectify men's mentality and challenge it by hosting slut walks and displaying our-will-dress up, we'll keep roaming in this vicious cycle. After all, one also does take precaution against a mad dog on the street.' Further another girl, Vanshika Sharma says that India is not a free country anymore!
Vaishnavi Srimag has got this to say on the whole tragic incidence, 'How a girl dresses is none of your business dude!! I don't think even a single man would like if we tell you how to dress. Girls should have their freedom to at least dress how they want! Problem is not how she dresses. It's how MEN see it!! IDIOTS! Sometimes I feel like screaming things people are sexually frustrated. Go drown yourself in freezing water!!!!'
Sanya Gulati, is outraged by the happening and says, 'The message really needs to spread around but wonder if these thick headed and desperate men would get a word! Guess how they would be sparing their mom and sisters..huh jerks!'
Further, Akriti Bahal, a friend and blogger voices, 'Actually! Men, today, are sick! Now, this seems like- We'll continue being horrendous animals no matter what, because it's our birth right, and put unwarranted blames on the other gender, because we have to say something in our defense. Eh? Whatever? Sick!'
At the end, I have this to say the war of sexes is never ending! No one is black or white; right or wrong! We all are just in shades of grey. The government is acting deaf, and the world is getting more and more unsafe to live. I wonder what's the future has in store for us. We can just hope to survive and walk in the streets fearless someday! May peace prevails!

The Cocktail Movie Review!

Okay so the movie is a must watch for sure. It’s RECOMMENDED especially for those who love to laugh. Cocktail follows the basic Bollywood genre-geometry of a love triangle. The good part about this one, unlike most love triangles, is that the three protagonists get to know who loves who pretty early in the picture and the revelation isn't stretched till the climax. Cocktail, basically, is the same prose with new grammar.
So the story is about a compulsive flirt Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) who gets into a no-strings-attached relationship with the hot-n-happening Veronica (Deepika Padukone). Girl-next-door Meera (Diana Penty) is literally the girl Gautam takes home to his mother (Dimple Kapadia) to cover-up his live-in relationship with Veronica. Until by interval point his heart starts fluttering for Meera. And the rest as they say is 'history'.
The characterizations are basically been-there-seen-that. The guy is commitment-phobic until he meets his match and realizes what 'true love' is. The firang female has a frivolous attitude until she realizes she, too, is vulnerable to feelings. The realisation dawns upon her that she too has a soft corner. The introvert desi dame isn't aware of her own beauty until the boy makes her realize it. Further she goes in the let-go-love-for-friend mode.
The one thing that I personally loved about the movie is its songs and their timings. Anil Mehta's cinematography is picture perfect. Pritam's music is peppy and some new voices add freshness to the soundtrack. From honey singh to coke studio, nothing was left out. The dialogues are another thing I cannot stop appreciating. I loved the originality of dialogues. They were just so perfect and catchy.
The narrative never tries too hard to build the chemistry between the characters. Like Veronica gets a random stranger Meera home and they become the best of buddies. Or Gautam and Veronica just hit if off in two scenes. So do Gautam and Meera subsequently, and if it wasn't for the kiss at interval point, one wouldn't know cupid has cross-connected. Further Meera's sudden truce with her past love (Randeep Hooda) in the pre-climax seems half-baked. Yet, at the expense of conviction, what you don't mind is that the story keeps moving ahead without expending too much time on the obvious and inescapable elements of a love story.
The 2 hours and 27 minutes of the movie is worthwhile. Nowhere does the viewer feel that the story is dragging. One tends to move with the flow.
The pacing drops in the second half, and one gets more impatient with predictability seeping into the plot. Evidently you know which girl would win in the end but you lose out to the protracted proceedings. In fact when the hero extensively proposes the heroine in the last scene you cannot stop yourself from indulging in laughter yet your eyes are filled with tears.
The first half was hilarious while during the second half I was actually laughing with tears in my eyes. The movie is typical in its story but the way of presentation is what makes it unique.

Despite all its conventionalism and inconsistencies, what still keeps you connected to the movie is its attitude to never take itself too seriously. The humour is inherent and scenes like Saif's first encounter with Deepika or Dimple Kapadia's artificial respiration to Deepika are hilarious.
From the cast, Deepika Padukone comes with the most impressive performance and is exceptionally good in the drunken scene where the happy-go-lucky Veronica shows her vulnerable side. And while she remains absolutely natural in her act, she looks stunningly sexy too. Saif Ali Khan is in his comfort zone in this romantic comedy and effortlessly charms girls (both on and off screen). Diana Penty comes with the requisite rawness that her character demands and is quite decent in her debut act. The minimalism in her looks often reminds of Giselle Monteiro's character from Love Aaj Kal. Dimple Kapadia comes as a pleasant change to the Punjabi-mom prototype in Bollywood and is quite likeable. Boman Irani does well in his short role. The talented Randeep Hooda gets no scope in his three-scene two-bit role.
Seriously, some good friends are too good to be shared!
To sum up, this one is old Cocktail in new bottle!
